Slender Threads

I’ve just discovered a wonderful book by Robert Johnson called Balancing Heaven & Earth.
In it he writes, “”Whether called faith, destiny, or the hand of God, slender threads are at work bringing coherence and continuity to our lives. Over time they weave a remarkable tapestry.”
I thought this was a very lovely and very fitting image for all the seemingly small things that link our lives. Individually they may appear tiny, but without each of them placed just as they are the whole artwork would fall apart.
